FreeBSD 13.4 first Beta and more.

Releases

FreeBSD 13.4-BETA1 Available: The first BETA build for the FreeBSD 13.4 release cycle is now available. ISO images for the amd64, i386, powerpc, powerpc64, powerpc64le, powerpcspe, armv6, armv7, aarch64, and riscv64 architectures are FreeBSD mirror sites.

OpenBSD Errata: August 2, 2024 (sndiod): Errata patches for sndiod have been released for OpenBSD 7.5 and 7.4. Binary updates for the amd64, arm64 and i386 platform are available via the syspatch utility.

Evolving the BSD Cafe Network Setup: From Bridging to Routing with FreeBSD: Explore the evolution of the BSD Cafe network setup using FreeBSD, showcasing how to leverage advanced routing techniques for improved scalability and security.

A look at ShrinkPDF on FreeBSD: A simple wrapper around Ghostscript to shrink PDFs (as in reduce filesize). The script feeds a PDF through Ghostscript, which performs lossy recompression by such methods as ownsampling the images to 72dpi. The result should be (but not always is) a much smaller file.
